In a bid to enhance community safety and contribute to sustainable energy solutions, The Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has generously donated more solar-powered streetlights to various transformers in Offa, Kwara State.
The foundation’s commitment to improving public infrastructure was evident as five solar-powered streetlights were installed at strategic locations. The selected transformers and corresponding locations include the Offa Grammar School (OGS) transformer, in front of the boys’ hostel; Ayetoro Community transformer; Olorunkuse Transformer opposite Alaba Market; Lamodi area Transformer behind Etisalat; and GRA Transformer opposite Alhaji Bukoye’s house.
The impact of this donation is particularly notable along the First Care Hospital Road, running parallel to the Offa Local Government Secretariat Road, where the Foundation illuminated the surroundings with the installation of five streetlights.
This philanthropic gesture by the MOK Foundation not only addresses the critical need for reliable and sustainable lighting but also contributes significantly to the overall safety and well-being of the Offa community. The strategic placement of the streetlights near transformers ensures a more secure environment, fostering a sense of security among residents.
