In a remarkable effort to improve the infrastructure and enhance the safety of local communities, the Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) Foundation has generously donated additional Solar-powered Streetlights to two towns in the Oyun local government area of Kwara State. This initiative aims to address the pressing need for reliable lighting in these areas, promoting security and prosperity for residents.

Ijagbo and Igbonna towns have received three and four streetlights, respectively, as part of the MOK Foundation’s commitment to uplifting the communities it serves. The Streetlights were officially received in Ijagbo by the esteemed Olora of Ijagbo, High Chief Mudashiru Bamidele Ajiboye ỌkínỌlọ́jà l (duly represented), and the MOK Foundation coordinator in Oyun LG, Alhaji Tunde Salaudeen.

The solar-powered nature of these streetlights is a significant advantage, given the abundant sunlight in the region. This sustainable energy source not only promotes environmental consciousness but also ensures continuous functionality, even during power outages. With the installation of these streetlights, residents can now enjoy illuminated streets and increased safety during nighttime hours.

The MOK Foundation has been commendably active in facilitating positive change and yielding tangible benefits within local communities. Through their various initiatives, they have consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving quality of life and addressing crucial challenges faced by these communities. This recent donation of streetlights further solidifies their dedication to making a lasting impact.

The positive response from the communities of Ijagbo and Igbonna has been overwhelming, as residents express their gratitude for the improved lighting infrastructure. They recognize the foundation’s efforts in providing a safer environment, deterring criminal activities, and fostering economic growth. The MOK Foundation continues to inspire other philanthropic organizations to join hands in bettering the lives of those in need.

As the MOK Foundation’s mission of empowerment and sustainable development progresses, it is anticipated that more communities within Kwara State and beyond will benefit from their philanthropic endeavors. With each new initiative, the foundation takes a step closer towards building resilient and thriving communities in Nigeria.
