Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode Foundation (MOK) a philanthropic organization based in Offa has again distributed farm tools and implements to farmers in different communities in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The Foundation on Saturday 27th of May 2023 and Monday 29th of May 2023 distributed sprayers, and chemicals spanning into millions of naira to farmers in Igbonna, Ilemona, and the suburbs to ameliorate the financial burden on grassroots farmers to procure farm tools.
The farmers who benefited were from Igbonna, Ilemona, Eleku Asipa, Sekongba, Gaa Igbonna, Alebale, Tabioloko, and their representatives were Suleiman Busari, Alhaji Saka Olarewaju, Ismail Sa’ad, Sanda Umaru.
About thirty (60 ) beneficiaries in different engagements thanked MOK foundation for the intervention and prayed for the Founder to continue to progress and flourish.
One of the community heads from Ilemona, Hon. Gbenga Bakinde, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the farmers to the MOK Foundation for the farm item support to farmers. He disclosed that MOK Foundation has done a lot of interventions in the LGA in just a few months of operation, including free distribution of food items, provision of support for small-scale businesses, and payment of NECO fees of the less privileged.
Recalled that MOK Foundation had earlier procured tractor to assist farmers in Offa and Oyun Local Governments with farm works for free.
The farm implements distribution is one of the Foundation’s interventions to support agriculture and enhance food production at the grassroots.
The representative of the MOK Foundation, Alhaji Babatunde, therefore urged the farmers in the community to utilize the purpose of the MOK agricultural intervention to increase food production and distribution in the locality.
