Chief Imam of Offaland, Sheikh Muhydeen Hussain, Praises Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode
On the occasion of the 2023 International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode (MOK) made a generous donation of N300,000 to the Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD), Offa, Kwara State chapter. The donation took place at the Offa Descendants Union (ODU) Hall on Saturday, December 9.
It will be recalled that MOK Foundation has on November 18, 2023 gave a grant to the Association in Oyun and Offa LGs.
The Chief Imam of Offaland, Sheikh Muhydeen Hussain, expressed his gratitude towards the foundation for their contribution. He said the generous support from MOK will undoubtedly assist lives of disabled individuals within the community.
The donation ceremony saw the presence of several community leaders and members of JONAPWD, who commended MOK for his philanthropic initiative.
Mr. Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode, who was ably represented by messrs Moshood Tewogbola, Nurudeen Mohammed, Saheed Lawal and others.
Mr. Muhydeen Okunlola said he is optimistic that the funds will be utilized to support various programme and initiatives aimed at creating an inclusive society and promoting equal opportunities for persons with disabilities.
He added that the International Day of Persons with Disabilities serves as a reminder to society about the importance of recognizing the rights and abilities of individuals with disabilities and striving towards a more inclusive and accessible world.
JONAPWD, represented by Mr. Azeez Olusegun Folorunsho, extends its heartfelt gratitude to Muhydeen Okunlola Kayode and acknowledges the positive impact this contribution will have on its ongoing endeavors.
Mr. Folorunsho is the Chairman of JONAPWD in Offa Local Government area of Kwara State.
